Hello, my name is Jade Downing! My love for art started in elementary school when one of my older friends taught me how to color without letting my crayon marks reach outside of the lines. Since then, I have experimented with many different other art forms. I enjoy writing, video editing, and creating traditional and digital art. 

 

I use art as a way to express myself. There is just so much emotion that can be captured through visuals alone. Sometimes I struggle with finding the right words to express exactly how I feel, so poetry and drawing is a great way for me to get out all the hard to understand emotions that I feel. 

 

Whether it is through sketches, videos or writing, I love connecting with others and myself through the use of creative outlets. I have a passion for telling stories through the use of visual mediums. This blog is just another form of creative expression. This blog will be used to share my journey as a creative. It will be filled with my thoughts on art, new pieces of original work and advice for other creatives.
